"Watching TV is easy. Writing is hard. But what will Future You be most grateful for?" So true. Anyone can watch TV, but only a serious writer can sit and write.
I recently looked up my join date for Twitter: It was 16 Dec 2006, and I was user 73843. It's been such a huge part of my life for a long time, and I'm really sad that it's imploding. But hey, we have Notes now!
It's a habit I am trying to get in to – preparing for the future I want to have, rather than hoping it will magically work out (which is what I've done in the past). I've never really been very good at delayed gratification, but thinking of it in terms of what will make my future life easier does help.

And by extension, anyone who choses to sit and write instead of watching TV is a serious writer.
Yes I am choosing writing more often these last couple of months and seeing the results already. It's so fulfilling.
Wonderful! Funnily, what with Twitter imploding, it's a lot easier to choose to write instead of doomscroll!
I never was into Twitter - my doomscroll poison is FB... what can I say 🙃
Takes all sorts! 😂

Yes, Notes are great!
I'm loving notes, and also getting into Bluesky a bit, now that there are people there I actually know. Gotta get my little dopamine hit somehow.
